Clients who attend the Centre for Counselling, the Womens' Group or the Drop-In are often in need of advice and information about such things as employment and social benefits, legal advice, health and age related matters and drug and alcohol dependency etc.

BCU is not in a position to offer advice itself. However, BCU works closely with many of the local organizations that have the responsibility to provide such advice and will offer positive help and support to ensure that clients do receive the expert and specific advice they need. This includes making contact with the appropriate organization(s) on behalf of the client when necessary.

Forthcoming Events

Various free courses take place throughout the year and include: Food Hygiene; Health & Safety: First Aid (Paediatric and Emergency); Self Development (Self Esteem, Confidence Building, Stress Awareness and Management). These are run subject to funding.
